Counselling

Counselling is a form of talking therapy. It is a process where an individual meets with a counsellor to talk about issues and problems that they are facing in their lives.

Counselling

Therapy provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a trained professional about your issues and concerns. Your therapist will help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of others.

A counsellor will not give you their opinions or advice or prescribe medication. They will help you find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping with your problems.

Counselling can take different forms depending on your needs and what type of therapy may be suitable. How often you see your therapist and how many appointments you have will depend on your individual circumstances, and will be agreed between you and your therapist.

Creative Arts

Creative therapy is a form of therapy that encourages a person to work through their issues using art-based exercises.

Creative Arts

Creative therapy uses art forms — such as drawing, sand tray or music — to help treat certain conditions. Trained therapists can administer creative therapy to help people experiencing a range of mental, emotional, and physical issues.

Creative therapy does not require a person to have any sort of artistic ability. Part of creative therapy is helping a person channel their thoughts and emotions through artistic expression. For these reasons, creative therapy may be beneficial for people who have difficulty expressing their feelings verbally.

Once a person has created a piece of art, for example, they can discuss their choices with the therapist. Talking with a therapist about their creation can help the person process how they are feeling.

SandStory Therapy

SandStory Therapy® is a unique therapeutic approach which enables the adult to tell their story in the sand.

SandStory Therapy

SandStory Therapy® safely combines the therapeutic use of sand, water and symbols to enable the SandStory Therapist to fully support their client through their therapeutic journey.

SandStory Therapy® is unique in holding a safe and gentle space for the conscious to be curious and to communicate with your unconscious so that intuitive insights and significant shifts may take place.

It has been developed by the amazing Lara Kasza by combining the therapeutic use of SandTray Therapy and SandPlay Therapy with the expressive elements of storytelling.

SandStory Trays may be created through the client’s own ideas or the Therapist may offer suggestions in the form of therapeutic themes based on their knowledge of the client.

The length of the client’s therapeutic journey depends on the client and will be discussed with the client and their parent/carer if required.
