Therapy Services South West

At Therapy Services South West CIC, we believe everyone deserves to feel understood, respected and accepted for who they are. We provide a welcoming, non-judgemental and affirming environment where people can feel safe to explore their experiences and move towards positive change.

Our approach is evidence-informed, trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming. We recognise that every person’s experiences, relationships and way of understanding the world are unique. Rather than focusing on perceived deficits, we celebrate individual strengths, value lived experiences and work alongside each person to understand what matters most to them.

Our team is made up of compassionate therapists who are committed to making support accessible and inclusive. Many of us are neurodivergent ourselves, bringing personal insight alongside extensive therapeutic knowledge and experience. Together, these qualities help us build genuine, trusting relationships where people feel listened to, valued and supported.

We work with children, young people, adults and families experiencing a wide range of emotional, developmental and psychological challenges. These include developmental trauma, attachment difficulties, neurodivergence, sensory processing differences, anxiety, relationship difficulties and significant life changes. Our therapists have specialist expertise in Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, emotional regulation and developmental trauma, allowing us to tailor support to each individual rather than expecting people to fit a particular model.

We believe the best therapy is collaborative. It begins with curiosity, compassion and a genuine commitment to understanding each person’s unique experiences. While lived experience can bring valuable perspective, it is combined with professional expertise, evidence-based practice and a shared commitment to helping people achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Our commitment extends beyond the therapy room. Through education, advocacy, consultation and collaboration with families, schools, health professionals and community organisations, we aim to increase understanding of neurodivergence, trauma and emotional wellbeing, helping to create more inclusive environments and better outcomes for the people we support.

Our aim is simple: to provide high-quality, compassionate therapy that enables people to feel understood, empowered and able to thrive. Whatever someone’s journey, we are here to provide support that is individual, respectful and centred around their unique needs.

Groups

Our adult groups, a safe gathering of people facing common issues to share what’s troubling them. Through the sharing of experiences, they’re able to offer support, encouragement, and comfort to the other group members, and receive the same in return.

Our children and young people groups provide a safe space where children have fun, make friends, and develop their communication skills, confidence and social and emotional wellbeing.

I like coming here. I can be quiet but still be heard. If I don't use words because sometimes they get stuck I can show them by using the art stuff.
